Bandarban is a green hilly region of Bangladesh situated to the South-East corner of the country. It is one of the three hill districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) area which is full of hills and forest areas. It is the least populous district of Bangladesh with an area of 4,479 km². Bandarban is the district to which the border of both India and Myanmar exist. It is a place of various tribal inhabitants.

Keokradong is a located in Ruma Upazila of the district. Keokradong is claimed as the highest peak of Bangladesh. The height of the peak is measured from different sources as 3,173 ft or 3,235 ft. There are some waterfalls in the green forest on the way to the Keokradong from Boga Lake.

On the way of Keokradong there is a lake familiar as Boga Lake which is the highest lake of Bangladesh with the height from sea level is nearly 1,246 ft. The view of the lake is marvelous.

Itinerary

Start

You’ll start at 11pm from Dhaka

Day-1

You’ll reach at Bandarban at 6 am.
You’ll have a 30 minutes ride that take you to the Restaurant where you’ll get chance to refresh. Here you’ll also have your breakfast with warm reception.
Then you’ll start for Ruma and on the way you’ll travel Shoilopropat. A ride of 30 minutes will take you to the Shoilopropat, a beautiful waterfall. Here you may have a window shopping of local hand made products.
Your next destination is Ruma Bazar where you’ll have to complete the entry process in the Army Check Post with your local guide. It’ll take 30-45 minutes.
By noon you’ll be in Boga Lake area and check in your rooms. Here you pass some enjoyable moments in the lake area and hold your night.

Day-2

After having an early breakfast you’ll start trekking for Keokradong. On the way you’ll have some waterfalls in the forest where you may take cool bath with the spring water.
Before evening you’ll get back to your room.
You’ll hold your night here.

Day-3

You’ll do your breakfast and start for Bandarban.
After lunch you’ll travel a 45 minutes ride to reach Nilachal, the highest peak of Bandarban town. From here you’ll get a sky top view of the whole town. You’ll also have a distance view of the Golden Temple. You’ll enjoy the beautiful view of the setting sun on the top of the hill.
Getting back to city after evening you’ll catch your vehicle to start for Dhaka at 8pm.

End

You’ll reach at 6am from Bandarban

Tips

The package is most suitable and safe during late autumn, winter and spring (November to March). In rainy season the water in Boga Lake becomes pale but the water falls run with full force. The route is a little bit risky for exposure in rainy season. In the rainy season the trekking tourists should have the preparation against leech.

Minimum 50% of declared price shall be paid to confirm reservation at least 7 days prior of the travel date.
Another 25% of declared price shall be paid 48 hours prior of the travel date.
Rest of the amount shall be paid before completion of the tour.
For customized tour the reservation policy is upon discussion.

50% of the Reservation Fee shall be paid back if the client cancels tour more than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
No refund if the client cancels tour 72 hours prior or less than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
