Bandarban is a green hilly region of Bangladesh situated to the South-East corner of the country. It is one of the three hill districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) area which full of hills and forest areas. It is the least populous district of Bangladesh with an area of 4,479 km². Bandarban is the district to which the border of both India and Myanmar exist. It is a place of various tribal inhabitants.

Tazing Dong is officially the highest mountain peak of Bangladesh. It is also known as ‘Bijoy’ (Victory). It is situated in Ruma Upazila of Bandarban, but easier to trek from Thanchi, another Upazila of Bandarban. The height of Tazing Dong is 4,198 ft. according to official measurement.

Itinerary

Start

You’ll start at 11pm from Dhaka

Day-1

You’ll reach at Bandarban at 6 am.
You’ll have a 30 minutes ride that take you to the Restaurant where you’ll get chance to refresh. Here you’ll also have your breakfast with warm reception.
Then you’ll start for Thanchi. It’ll take almost three and half an hour to reach Thanchi Sadar. Having your lunch, you’ll have to complete your formalities in BGB Check Post.
Then you’ll start your trekking here. According to your trekking speed you’ll hold your night at Boarding Para or Karbari Para (native villages).

Day-2

Having breakfast, you’ll start the final trekking to Tazing Dong from your night holding station. It’ll take around 3 hours trekking to reach the top of Tazing Dong.
You’ll get back on the same way.
You’ll hold your night at native village.

Day-3

You’ll have your breakfast at night hold station.
You’ll start return trekking for Thanchi. You’ll have your lunch at Thanchi and start for Bandarban.
Getting back to city you’ll have rooms for refreshment. Having your dinner, you’ll catch your vehicle to start for Dhaka at 8pm.

End

You’ll reach at 6am from Bandarban

Tips

The package is most suitable and safe during late autumn, winter and spring (November to March). In summer and rainy season trek is hard due to discomfort hot and humid weather.

Minimum 50% of declared price shall be paid to confirm reservation at least 7 days prior of the travel date.
Another 25% of declared price shall be paid 48 hours prior of the travel date.
Rest of the amount shall be paid before completion of the tour.
For customized tour the reservation policy is upon discussion.

50% of the Reservation Fee shall be paid back if the client cancels tour more than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
No refund if the client cancels tour 72 hours prior or less than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
