In a word It was Excellent !!

It was a memorable tour I’ve made with the “Shongkhochill” last year in the early monsoon. Beauty with pure greenery resembles in its purest form in monsoon in Bangladesh and “Tanguar Haor” readies itself with its align beauty for showcasing the true tone of natural beauty for the travellers and we were lucky to witness that with having “Shongkhochill” as our host for the journey, a journey worth a lifetime experience. Though the night-trip to Sunamganj was a roller-coaster kind but sailing in the boat reaching in Sunamganj the following day made all the tiring experiences out and replaces every cells of body with pure enthusiasm as we felt out first feather-like silky touch of morning breeze of Sunamganj. Our tour operator, Shongkhochill…your travel partner, made all the pre-arrangements ever so smoothly that we hadn’t to linger over on any schedules and rightly on course of our journey in the early morning. The boat along with the boat-man and the “special cook” were so professional in their approach but amicable at the same time and we had a lot of fun-times with them in our two-day journey. Our food were not any exceptional kind but cooked and served in an way that raises our appetite in every 2 or 3 hours. Swimming near the watch-tower, located in the mid of Haor, is one of the unplanned joys I had in the journey as I’m not a great swimmer and later on the second day swimming in the Jadukata river maybe outnumber any of the ecstasies I’ve came across in the 2 day journey. Staying overnight on a boat, seeing the mesmerising array of stars in the night sky, playing soccer with our tour partners in Shimul-bagan, witnessing the changing colour of Haor in time of sunset, taking the short walk-around of takerhaat at evening time with a nice lake around all can compete for best moments I’ve had in my journey but really doesn’t want to number them anyway. The whole journey went on so smoothly that at times we forgot that we were with a tour operated but it seemed that they are our old “amigos”. Shongkhochill was professional in their approaches and not made any major deviations from the pre-set tour plans. They served the fresh fish from the Haor and served at us with delicacy. And the hospitality they’ve treated us with was exceptional. Someone who wants to enjoy the unfolded beauty of Tanguar Haor and doesn’t want take any hassle of his own, I recommend choosing “Shongkhochill” as their his partner and I can vow that you can count of them.
