Overview

Sreemangal is an Upazila of Moulvibazar district in Sylhet division. The distance of Sreemangal from capital Dhaka is almost 200 km. Sreemangal is familiar as the ‘Capital’ of Tea as the region is the largest region covered under tea gardens. It is situated on ‘Hail Haor’ area which is one of the most important wetlands in the Sylhet Basin for the resident and migratory waterfowls.

Sreemangal is an area that is covered with small hills, tea gardens, rubber gardens and green forests. Sreemangal is the highest rainfall area in the country. The Lawachhara Rain Forest is located in Kamalganj, the adjacent upazila of Sreemangal. In this forest one finds several rare species of plants. With green natural view, there exist tea gardens, tea processing center, Bangladesh Tea Research Center.

Sreemangal is an area where different anthropological groups (Khasia, Monipuri, Garo, Tripura etc.) live together. They live with their own cultures with Bangali people. Sreemangal is also familiar for lemon, watermelon and orange production.

Itinerary

Start

You’ll start from Dhaka at early in the morning.

Day-1

You’ll reach at Sreemangal before noon.
Having your lunch, you’ll travel to Madhabpur Lake at National Tea Garden. It is a natural lake in green tea garden that will give you a cool feeling. Here you’ll get quality tea at the entrance. With Madhabpur Lake you’ll also visit the Memorial of Birshrestho Hamidur Rahman, a great martyr in the Liberation War of 1971.
In the evening you’ll pass your time at Munipuri Para (Village of Munipuri Tribe). Having an evening tea you’ll move to the Camping place on top of the tea garden.
You’ll get your dinner and night hold under tent.

Day-2

After breakfast, you’ll visit the Lawachhara National Park, the rain forest of the country. Here several rare species of plants and some wild lives will be found. Here you may have some small trek into the forest.
You’ll get your lunch and start for Dhaka.

End

You’ll reach in Dhaka before midnight.

Another 25% of declared price shall be paid 48 hours prior of the travel date.
Rest of the amount shall be paid before completion of the tour.

50% of the Reservation Fee shall be paid back if the client cancels tour more than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
No refund if the client cancels tour 72 hours prior or less than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
