Bandarban is a green hilly region of Bangladesh situated to the South-East corner of the country. It is one of the three hill districts of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) area which is full of hills and forest areas. It is the least populous district of Bangladesh with an area of 4,479 km². Bandarban is the district to which the border of both India and Myanmar exist. It is a place of various tribal inhabitants.

Bandarban is an attraction for relax tour in hills with green forest areas. The main attractions are hills, Kyang (Buddha Bihars), waterfalls and tribal lives with their own cultures and standards. There exist popular spots in the city and surrounding of the hill-town. Tourists can pass a relax time with nature here. Bandarban has different views in different seasons like summer, autumn, winter and rainy season.

Bogakain Lake, popularly known as Baga Lake or Boga Lake is located in Ruma Upazila which is a natural sweet and deep-water lake. The lake is situated in a height nearly 1,246 ft from sea level. The area of the lake is 75,100 m². Boga Lake is a closed lake and there is a small spring named Boga Chhara, which is 502 ft deep. The main source of water is the rain in summer.

Itinerary

Start

You’ll start at 11pm from Dhaka

Day-1

You’ll reach at Bandarban at 6 am. After having fresh you’ll get your vehicle at your hotel. You’ll have a 20 minutes ride that take you to the Swarna Mandir (Golden Tample) on Jadi Pahar in a 3 km distance from town centre. It is a significant religious centre of Buddhists with golden colored temple of Buddha. It may take 45 minutes travel here.
You’ll then move to Ram Jadi Mandir, another Temple of Buddha which is a 20 minutes ride. You’ll have to hike a steep stairs more than 100 feet to reach the temple. It may take a 30 minutes travel here. Then you’ll have your lunch at the town.
After lunch you’ll move to Meghla Pajatan Park, a ride of 20 minutes from town centre. It may take one and half an hour travel and you’ll enjoy the green view with lake and hill by walking a trail from flat to hill to flat. There you’ll find a cable car for tourists for which you’ll have to buy tickets at the entrance gate.
From Meghla Tourist Park a 30 minutes ride will take you to the Burmese Market in the middle of the town where you’ll get the local cultured products as well as the Burmese products and also the products from Thailand.
You’ll get your dinner and get back to hotel for night hold.

Day-2

After having breakfast you’ll start for Ruma Bazar.
Confirming the formalities in the check post at Ruma Bazar you’ll move to Boga Lake. You may have a 40 minutes trekking to have a cool bath with the spring water near Boga Lake. You’ll have your lunch at Boga Lake.
Before evening you’ll get back to Bandarban.
You’ll hold your night at Bandarban.

Day-3

Today you’ll have to take preparation for an early start for Nilgiri to have marvelous view of hills over clouds. You’ll get your breakfast on the way and have almost 2 hours ride on hilly way to reach Nilgiri. It’ll be one and half an hour travel here.
From Nilgiri you’ll get back the same road for almost 80 minutes ride to reach the Chimbuk Hill which one of the top peaks near the town. Here you’ll get the tasty fruits of hill and the local hand loom products. It’ll be a 45 minutes travel here.
Next ride of 30 minutes will take you to the Shoilopropat, a beautiful waterfall. Here you may take a tea-break with a window shopping of local hand made products.
For you there’ll be a complementary lunch here with some marvelous view of hills.
After lunch you’ll travel a 45 minutes ride to reach Nilachal, the highest peak of Bandarban town. From here you’ll get a sky top view of the whole town. You’ll also have a distance view of the Golden Temple. You’ll enjoy the beautiful view of the setting sun on the top of the hill.
Getting back to city after evening you’ll catch your vehicle to start for Dhaka at 8pm.

End

You’ll reach at 6am from Bandarban

Tips

The package is most suitable during late autumn, winter and spring (November to March). In rainy season the areas are full of green with forest.

Minimum 50% of declared price shall be paid to confirm reservation at least 7 days prior of the travel date.
Another 25% of declared price shall be paid 48 hours prior of the travel date.
Rest of the amount shall be paid before completion of the tour.

50% of the Reservation Fee shall be paid back if the client cancels tour more than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
No refund if the client cancels tour 72 hours prior or less than 72 hours prior of the travel date.
